THE EXHIBITION

Marine engineering through a wider lens.

SMM Hamburg’s 2026 calendar listed 1–4 September at the Hamburg Messe und Congress exhibition grounds. The trade fair brings together the shipbuilding and shipping communities, with equipment exhibitions and a conference programme covering the industry’s changing technical priorities. Energy efficiency and digitalisation sit alongside wider questions about maritime resilience.

Marine systems create distinctive demands for valves and actuators, including space constraints, service access and the operating environment aboard a vessel. The event offers a way to understand those requirements in the context of complete ships and their supporting infrastructure. Discussions about new technologies are most useful when linked to specific onboard services.

AN APPLICATION PERSPECTIVE

What this means for your next project.

Confirm the medium, installation location, material compatibility and required class documentation for each marine duty. A suitable product range does not remove the need for project-specific review.
