THE EXHIBITION

Technology shaped by offshore conditions.

The OTC 2026 exhibition programme ran from 4–7 May at the NRG Center in Houston. The Offshore Technology Conference combines an equipment exhibition with technical presentations, panel discussions and research showcases. Its official programme brings together the technologies and engineering disciplines used across offshore energy development and operation.

The offshore setting gives flow-control discussions a practical focus on equipment performance, accessibility and reliability. Valve and actuator decisions need to be understood alongside the wider process and installation. Technical sessions and supplier discussions provide different ways to explore the requirements behind a specification and the documentation needed to assess a proposed assembly.

In focus

  • Offshore energy
  • Engineering technology
  • Equipment reliability
AN APPLICATION PERSPECTIVE

What this means for your next project.

Define the actual installation and operating conditions before selecting equipment. Environmental exposure, maintenance access, materials and the required inspection records deserve attention alongside pressure and temperature.
